Some Yahoo! Small Business customers may have issues viewing the images on their store pages intermittently.

We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it in a timely manner.

Merchant Solutions scheduled system updates

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

On Monday, October 17, at 9 p.m. PT, until Tuesday, October 18, at 7:30 a.m. PT, Yahoo! Merchant Solutions will perform system updates to release new features for your store. While we do this work, you may experience a 15 to 30-minute period of time during which shoppers may be unable to use coupons or gift certificates when placing an order, order numbers may not be generated, and the order API may not be available. Merchants who use the Database Inventory feature should set their “Quantity can Exceed Availability” setting to “Yes” for the update period, or orders may not be accepted.

Store Manager will not be available during this 15 to 30-minute period, and merchants are advised to complete store publishes and work in Order Manager before the updates begin. FDMS batch submissions and site statistics reporting may be delayed until the following day. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Store search showing incorrect caption in search results for some merchants

For the small set of stores currently piloting our incremental publish feature, when performing a search, the caption displayed for results does not match the content of the item. This issue does not affect all stores.

If your store is experiencing this issue, please perform the following steps:

  • In your Store Editor, use the “Publish All” button instead of the “Publish Changes” button.
  • If you need to have the incremental publish feature disabled, please contact us for further help.

Our engineers are aware of this problem and are working toward a permanent resolution.

Cannot access Store Manager on some Merchant Solutions accounts

When entering the Store Manager, you may experience the following:

  • Error message:  Your Store Manager already has more than 6 pending requests.
  • Slow or unresponsive page loading
  • Blank page

We are aware of this problem and working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Store Statistics not updating fully on some Merchant Solution accounts

Some Merchant Solution customers may notice a delay in the update process for the statistics of their store. Store Statistics may not display dates past September 30th, 2011 at this time.

Our engineering team is working to investigate this issue.

Errors when viewing Store Editor built store pages

When trying to view the Merchant Solutions store pages built in Store Editor, the following error occurs:

  • The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

Our engineers are aware of this problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

On Tuesday, September 27, at 9 p.m. PT, until Wednesday, September 28, at 7:30 a.m. PT, Yahoo! Merchant Solutions will perform system updates to release a new feature for Yahoo! Merchant Solutions and Yahoo! Store customers. While we do this work, merchants may experience a 30 to 45-minute period of time during which shoppers may be unable to use coupons or gift certificates when placing an order, order numbers may not be generated, and the order API may not be available. Store Manager will not be available during this 30 to 45-minute period, and merchants are advised to complete store publishes and work in Order Manager before the updates begin. FDMS batch submissions and site statistics reporting may be delayed until the following day.

Please note: Merchants using the Database Inventory feature should set their “Quantity can Exceed Availability” setting to “Yes” for the update period, or orders may not be accepted. Your inventory will automatically be updated to reflect new orders once these updates are complete. Orders received during this time should be checked against available item quantities to ensure the order can be filled.

To modify the “Quantity can Exceed Availability” setting:

  1. In Store Manager, click on “Configure Inventory” (located in the Order Settings column)
  2. In the Settings Section, change “Quantity can Exceed Availability” to “Yes”
  3. Click the “Update” button
  4. Publish your Order Settings

Following the update period, you may restore your original settings if needed, to prevent items from being ordered when they’re not in stock. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Shopping Cart Errors

We have received reports that shopping cart errors may be encountered in some geographic regions when adding an item to the cart. The error given is:

“A problem has been encountered with your shopping session, and your information and cart contents cannot be retrieved. Please try accessing this site again later…”

Our engineers are working to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. Updates will be provided as they become available. Thank you for your patience.

Merchant Solutions scheduled system maintenance

Between 9:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, September 14, and 7:30 a.m. PT on Thursday, September 15, Yahoo! Merchant Solutions customers may experience a 10 to 15 minute period when Store Manager cannot be accessed and store changes cannot be published, due to system maintenance being performed. If you are unable to access Store Manager or to publish during this time, please try again after 15 minutes. We thank you for your patience, and apologize for any inconvenience.
