Some Business Mail users are unable to access mail

Some Business Mail Users may encounter an error when accessing webmail, stating:

“Sorry for the inconvenience.
You’ve stumbled upon an unexpected, temporary problem. Performing your action again in a few moments will likely resolve the problem completely. If not, we suggest you try re-launching Yahoo! Mail.
If the problem persists, feel free to contact Customer Care about Error Code 15.”

We are working to resolve this problem as quickly as possible, and apologize for any inconvenience.

Temporary Business Email update to the newest version of Yahoo! Mail

Business Email users signing into their account today may notice their account has been updated to the newest version of Yahoo! Mail. This change is temporary. Our scheduled Business Email update is planned for mid-September, and accounts will soon be reverted to the previous version of Business Mail that was used while we work to finalize features and other technical aspects of the planned Business Email upgrade scheduled for next month. We apologize for the temporary change in Business Email, and thank you for your patience while we revert this change.

While the new version of Business Email is temporarily in place, should you need assistance with or more information about using the new interface, please visit the Yahoo! Mail help pages, or get an overview of the newest version of Yahoo! Mail.

Cannot add attachments to business emails using Charter.net ISP

Yahoo! Small Business customers using Charter.net as their Internet Service Provider cannot add attachments to business email messages.  The error message received is as follows:

  • Sending of msg failed because connection to the server time out

We will work with Charter.net to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Business Email search may not return any results

Yahoo! Small Business customers may not be able to search for emails in the Webmail interface.

When performing a Business Email search, the following error messages may be displayed:

  • No emails were found matching your search
  • Sorry. We didn’t find any results matching the following criteria containing the search term: (The search term you entered)

If you are experiencing these symptoms, please contact us for further troubleshooting.

Our engineers are working to resolve this problem as quickly as possible.

Yahoo! Mail interface updates

Please be aware we have made updates to the Yahoo! Mail interface.  Please see our help pages to learn more about the newest version of Yahoo! Mail.  If you cannot access your business email inbox, please contact us for further troubleshooting.

If you have switched to the newest Yahoo! Mail interface and cannot find your Business Email account, please click on your name in the upper left corner above the Yahoo! Mail logo.  Then, click the link for your business email address to access your Business Email account.

Unable to create or edit starter web page

Customers have reported errors when attempting to create or edit their starter web page.  When attempting to preview or save the following error occurs:

“An error has occurred.  Please wait a few moments, and then right-click on this message and select ‘Refresh’ or ‘Reload Frame’ to retry the operation.

If you continue to receive this message, we need your help!  Please send us feedback and describe exactly what steps you took to cause this message to appear.”

We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution as quickly as possible.  At this time there is no need to follow the feedback link listed in the error message.

Problems contacting Yahoo! Small Business phone support

Some Yahoo! Small Business customers are currently unable to contact our support team by phone using the Request a Call feature presented on the Contact Us page.

Customers are able to schedule the call but when their phone rings, they will hear a “the call cannot be completed as dialed” message.

Please utilize the phone numbers provided on our Contact Us page to reach Yahoo! Small Business phone support.

We are currently working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.  Thank you for your patience.

Business emails missing from webmail

This post is in reference to the original post from June 16, 2011.  We are re-posting to provide visibility of this problem to affected Yahoo! Small Business customers searching for the latest details.

The original issue is some Yahoo! Business Email customers may notice that emails sent/received between 9th June 2011 and 15th June 2011 are missing from their mailbox in their Webmail interface.

The restoration process is completed for most of our affected accounts. If the issue still persists, please contact us by signing in to your Yahoo! Small Business account and using our call-back system.

Cannot switch to business email inbox
