Error accessing Payment method tab in Yahoo! Wallet

Customers are seeing the following error when clicking the Payment Methods tab in the Yahoo! Wallet:

  • An error has occurred. We were unable to process your request due to temporary issues. If the problem persists, please contact Customer Care.

This is also preventing new orders, reactivations, upgrades, and downgrades for any Yahoo! Small Business service.

We are working to resolve this problem as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this is causing.

Day 2- Billing and Ordering systems – planned maintenance

Scheduled maintenance of our Billing and Ordering systems, starting at 12:45 AM, PST October 18, 2011. This will take approximately 4 hours to complete.

Cannot access Yahoo! Wallet pages

Customers are experiencing an error while trying to access the Yahoo! Wallet pages at the following locations:

  • http://billing.yahoo.com
  • http://wallet.yahoo.com

An example of the error is below:

  • An error has occurred: We were unable to process your request due to temporary issues. If the problem persists, please contact Customer Care.

The actions that may experience the error are the following:

  • Changing your payment method
  • Editing your payment method
  • Ordering a new service
  • Reactivating a service
  • Changing your service

If your service is past due and need more help, please contact us for further troubleshooting.

We are working to resolve this problem as quickly as possible.

Problems contacting Yahoo! Small Business phone support

Some Yahoo! Small Business customers are currently unable to contact our support team by phone using the Request a Call feature presented on the Contact Us page.

Customers are able to schedule the call but when their phone rings, they will hear a “the call cannot be completed as dialed” message.

Please utilize the phone numbers provided on our Contact Us page to reach Yahoo! Small Business phone support.

We are currently working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.  Thank you for your patience.

Some customers unable to place Yahoo! Small Business orders

We have learned that some Yahoo! Small Business customers may be unable to place new orders.  Examples of a new order may include:

  • Registration of a new account.
  • Reactivation of a previously closed account.
  • Downgrade or upgrade of an existing, active account.

Affected customers may experience slow page loading during the ordering process.
One workaround is to try placing your order from another Internet browser, like Mozilla Firefox.

Our engineering teams continue to investigate this issue. We will post any updates as soon as they are available.

Billing page maintenance on April 13, 2010

Please note we will be conducting maintenance for the Yahoo! billing system on April 13, 2010, beginning at 9:00 AM PT.  We expect this maintenance to last up to 2-3 days.

During this time, some Yahoo! Small Business customers will not be able to access http://billing.yahoo.com to add or edit payment methods for their service.  Also, some Yahoo! Small Business customers will not be able to access billing-related services like changing or canceling a plan, adding extras, or ordering a new service.

Please note that your web site will remain available to your customers, and your Small Business account and business email will continue to function for active accounts during the maintenance.

Some Yahoo! Small Business accounts are not upgrading or downgrading correctly

We have received reports of some accounts not upgrading or downgrading correctly.

Customers experiencing this issue have reported the following symptoms:

  • After upgrading or downgrading, you cannot view your account in the Business Control Panel.
  • Your web site is not displaying in an Internet browser.
  • Your business email is not working.

Some Yahoo! Small Business accounts are not upgrading or downgrading correctly.

Symptoms:

  1. After upgrading or downgrading, you cannot view your account in the Business Control Panel.
  2. Your web site is not displaying in an Internet browser.
  3. Your business email is not working.

Updating past-due account does not reactivate services

We have identified a billing issue in which Yahoo! Small Business customers pay their past-due accounts successfully, but their accounts are not reactivating properly.  In addition, their web sites are not displaying, and their business email does not work after updating the payment method at billing.yahoo.com.

Please contact us for further troubleshooting if you are experiencing this issue.

We are continuing to investigate this issue and will provide an update or resolution as soon as possible.
