Unable to access Store Manager / Store control panel

Some Yahoo! Small Business Merchant Solutions Customers may be facing difficulties with accessing their Store manager / Store control panel beyond the  maintenance window mentioned below.  We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve this at the earliest possible.

On May 3 and 4, 2010, we will be conducting important system maintenance. This maintenance will be occur during two 4-hour windows, from 9 p.m. PDT on May 3 to 1 a.m. PDT on May 4, and from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. PDT on May 4. Individual stores should be affected for less than 2 hours of each maintenance window. Please check Store Manager for the maintenance window for your store.

Shoppers may be unable to use gift certificates or coupons when placing an order during the maintenance period. Order, Payment, and Checkout API calls cannot be made during this time. Store Manager will be unavailable for the duration of the maintenance, and merchants should complete all store publishes before maintenance begins. Publishes in-progress will be stopped, resulting in a partial content publish. FDMS batch submissions and site statistics reporting may be delayed until the following day.

Please note: Merchants using the Database Inventory feature should set their “Quantity can Exceed Availability” setting to “Yes” for the maintenance period, or orders may not be accepted. Your inventory will automatically be updated to reflect new orders once the maintenance is complete. Orders received during this time should be checked against available item quantities to ensure the order can be filled.

To modify the “Quantity can Exceed Availability” setting:

  1. In Store Manager, click on “Configure Inventory” (located in the Order Settings column)
  2. In the Settings Section, change “Quantity can Exceed Availability” to “Yes”
  3. Click the “Update” button
  4. Publish your Order Settings

Following the maintenance period, you may restore your original settings if needed, to prevent items from being ordered when they’re not in stock. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Web Hosting system maintenance on April 27

Please note that we will conduct routine maintenance for Yahoo! Web Hosting on April 27, 2010, beginning at approximately 7 p.m. PT. We expect this maintenance to last approximately 9 hours.

During this time, your visitors will be able to view your site, but you may be unable to access your Web Hosting Control Panel or update your pages. Some features on your published site (such as blog comments) may also be temporarily disabled.

Some Yahoo! customers may be unable to log into their web site via FTP

Some Yahoo! Small Business customers may encounter errors when attempting to log into their web site’s FTP server to upload files to their web sites.

Unsuccessful attempts to log into your FTP server will cause an “Error 530″ message to appear in your FTP client program.

We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Some Business Mail signatures may appear as HTML code in All New Yahoo! Mail

Some Yahoo! Small Business customers may be experiencing an issue where email signatures created in the Color and Graphics mode are displaying as HTML code while composing a message in All New Yahoo! Mail.

Customers experiencing this issue may work around it by switching to Yahoo! Mail Classic.

To switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic:

  1. Click the Options link in the upper right corner of your screen.
  2. Choose Mail Classic from the pull-down list.

We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible.

Some Yahoo! Small Business customers may be unable to edit Advanced DNS settings in Domain Control Panel.

Some Yahoo! Small Business customers unable to access their store manager / store editor

As a result of an extended maintenance window, some merchants may experience temporary issues while accessing their store manager and store editor intermittently.

We are aware of this issue and are currently working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Billing page maintenance on April 13, 2010

Please note we will be conducting maintenance for the Yahoo! billing system on April 13, 2010, beginning at 9:00 AM PT.  We expect this maintenance to last up to 2-3 days.

During this time, some Yahoo! Small Business customers will not be able to access http://billing.yahoo.com to add or edit payment methods for their service.  Also, some Yahoo! Small Business customers will not be able to access billing-related services like changing or canceling a plan, adding extras, or ordering a new service.

Please note that your web site will remain available to your customers, and your Small Business account and business email will continue to function for active accounts during the maintenance.

Yahoo! Web Analytics maintenance on April 10

On April 10, 2010, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT, scheduled database maintenance will be performed on Yahoo! Web Analytics servers. Merchants may be unable to log into and access reports for some or all of their Yahoo! Web Analytics accounts during this time. This maintenance will affect the Yahoo! Web Analytics reporting interface only, and will not impact data collection. Please consult the Yahoo! Web Analytics system status page for any updates during the maintenance period.
