Yahoo! Small Business System Status

This post is in reference to the original post from June 16, 2011.  We are re-posting to provide visibility of this problem to affected Yahoo! Small Business customers searching for the latest details.

The original issue is some Yahoo! Business Email customers may notice that emails sent/received between 9th June 2011 and 15th June 2011 are missing from their mailbox in their Webmail interface.

The restoration process is completed for most of our affected accounts. If the issue still persists, please contact us by signing in to your Yahoo! Small Business account and using our call-back system.

Some Yahoo! Small Business customers in India have reported that they are getting a “password prompt” when accessing  their Business Mail using any known POP client like Outlook, Outlook Express, Mac Mail, etc.

When customers click on the Send/Receive button to download their emails, they may encounter a password looping issue. Alternatively, customers can access their Business Mail using the web mail interface.

We are aware of this issue and our engineers are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Please be aware that we will conduct routine maintenance for Yahoo! Web Hosting on July 14, 2009, beginning at approximately 6 p.m. PT. We expect this maintenance to last approximately 7 hours.

During this time, your visitors will be able to view your site, but you may be unable to access your Web Hosting Control Panel or update your pages. Some features on your published site (such as blog comments) may also be temporarily disabled.

PayPal will be conducting system maintenance January 8th from 11:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. PST. During that time shoppers may be unable to check out with PayPal. PayPal captures and refunds will not process during the maintenance. You may wish to add messaging to your checkout pages advising customers to choose an alternate payment method.

On December 5th, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. (PST), we will be conducting critical emergency maintenance. For a small percentage of accounts, shoppers may be unable to use gift certificates or coupons when placing an order during the maintenance period. Store Manager will not be available during this time. If your database inventory is set to reject items for which there is no quantity, the items may be unable to be ordered. Order numbers will not be issued during the maintenance, but will be emailed to your shoppers later. FDMS batch submissions and site statistics reporting may be delayed until the following day.
