We have been notified that additional network capacity has alleviated the congestion caused by the faulty fiber optic cable. It appears that the network is stable and customers should no longer experience time-out errors or problems using POP email clients.
We are continuing to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as they become available.

This issue has been resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Our engineering teams have investigated this issue and it appears to be the result of a problem with an international fiber optic cable used by one of our providers.
Traffic that would normally travel through this cable is currently being re-routed but this may cause connectivity loss for some customers.
We do not currently have an ETA for a fix, but will provide daily updates until we have confirmed there is a full resolution.
